It is said that Albert Einstein came up with the equation E=mc2. He made it public in a paper he submitted in 1905 to the science world. This equation is so simple but holds so much power in it. It led to the atomic bomb that helped end World War II and modern nuclear weapons. Warheads and mass destruction have come as a result. The energy stored in an average size tree is able to destroy the whole earth. Such a simple powerful equation.
There is another equation that is less known but way more important and powerful. This equation can be found in the Bible and it goes like this: G=L. It’s found in 1 John 4:8 and it says “God is love”. What a powerful statement! Unlike E=mc2 the power of God’s love was originally used to make everything “Very good”. That same power that made everything very good is now used to seek us, save us, and recreate us. This amazing power of love is rejected by some but is offered to all. It is healing for both our own souls and our relationships with God and others.
God is the most complex being and yet He makes Himself known to us in the most simple way. Complex but simple. Scientists say one tree has enough potential energy stored in it to destroy the world. The Bible tells us that God has enough love in Him to save the world. All you need to do is give Him your heart and let Him lead. You can trust His love!
