Born in Walla Walla, WA, Gary lived in Loma Linda, CA while his father was in dental school and then the family moved to Dinuba, CA. Gary gave his life to Jesus at Camp Wowona, and shortly thereafter felt the call to ministry. However, during his college years he had a “Jonah” experience and ran from God’s calling. Subsequently, he worked in the Financial Services and Health Care fields for a number of years. However God in His faithfulness never gave up on him or his calling.
At God’s leading and Gary’s surrendering, it has been an amazing journey in his transitioning from business to ministry, becoming a better husband and father, disciple and servant-leader.
Ministry Experience includes working as Senior Pastor, Associate Union Ministerial Director for Mid-America Union, and establishment of a Ministerial Department in Texas Conference beginning in July 2005. Subsequently he has served as Vice President and also as Conference Executive Secretary for the Texas Conference since May of 2011.
Gary’s wife Rose of 32 year serves in the treatment of cancer patients professionally as the Lead Radiation Therapist for the Kaweah Delta Hospital Cancer Centers in Visalia and Hanford. The Brady’s have two daughters; Brittni, who works as a social worker in Lodi, CA and Kristin married to Gabe Hansen both serving as nurses in the Sacramento area.
As hobbies, Gary enjoys sports and music. He has played piano since age 5. Ministry passions include mentoring the next generation of pastoral and lay leaders and building teams to better serve God’s people and the communities in which we live.
In partnership with the leadership team and the ARK family, he anticipates by God’s grace, that we will be healthy leaders, leading a healthy church, to be more effective in the gospel harvest.
